Neuschwanstein/Fussen, Germany - October 6

This is Neuschwanstein Castle.  It was Walt Disney's inspiration for the Sleeping Beauty & Cinderella Castles.  Unfortunately we could not take pictures inside the castle.

View from the castle.

After we walked down the castle we noticed the rainbow.
The main square in Fussen.
My head is on the chopping block.
We ate dinner at this really fun medieval restaurant.  They did not have any napkins only bibs for everyone to wear.

Innsbruck, Austria - October 7

This is Bergisel.  It was used in the 1964 and 1976 Olympics.

View from the top.

We went to a Bell Museum.  It was really cool to see how they made bells.  It is a much more involved process then I ever imagined.

We went to the Swarovski Crystal Factory.  It was very odd and a waste of time & money.  You will see what we experienced from the pictures below.  We did not learn how they made the crystal figurines.  That information is apparently top secret... even the staff in the gift shop had never been to the factory.

This is the Golden Roof.
Love this picture... you can see the Moon.
Excuse me waiter... I thought I ordered the large beer.  This was the largest beer I have ever seen.  1 liter to be exact.

Fun with Mom, Dad, John, Becca & Wes

Loved spending time with my Nephew/Godson.
Having fun grocery shopping.  Wes is signing the word hat and I am just being goofy.
Gammi & Grandpa with Wes.
Wes loves playing with the colorful parachute.
Wes also LOVES pumpkins.
Whenever Wes did this he would look at me and I would say "Touchdown... Yeah."  He thought it was very funny.
Out for a walk.  Wes has some impressive wheels.

On our walk we watched cows returning to the barn to be milked.  They obviously know the way home.

These calves are being weened from their mothers.
The owner showed us how he milks the cows.
Look at those teeth... 7 so far.
Sneak Peak... Wes tried on his Halloween costume!!  What an adorable turtle!
